The Daily Deal Trend And What People Will Do About It

Anytime a major trend occurs in our society – like what is happening with the huge revolution and growth of Daily Deal and Group Buying Websites – there are typically three types of people that emerge:

  1. Those who made it happen.
  2. Those who watched it happen.
  3. Those who wondered what happened.

One of the core reasons that this model has, and still is changing the world before our eyes – is because it harnesses the power of the USER and the users ability to SHARE.

  • User Generated Traffic
  • User generated Revenue.

I encourage you to take a look at the most visited websites on the net and nearly every one of them incorporates user generated content and traffic – thus resulting in what I like to call user generated revenue.

How many times have you ever seen a Facebook commercial, billboard, or any advertisement for that matter from Facebook?

NEVER.

I hear what you are saying…

Yes, you do see advertisements from Facebook on a daily basis — but Facebook is not the one running that advertisement.  Businesses and everyday people are constantly spreading the word for Facebook.  Nearly every business you see now sports the FB logo on their websites and branding.

You can use this frame of thought in nearly all aspects of your business.

Encourage and reward your website, blog and social networking site visitors for sharing and spreading the word about your stuff.  Provide some form of an incentive for people to share your business with their friends and family…

Social Networking makes sharing pretty easy in this day and age where people get more satisfaction from meeting others on social networking sites than in real life.  (Yes, sadly this is true.)

Imagine a business model where potential customers to do the advertising for you by spreading the word for free!

Yes, it does exist and it is because of collective buying power.  Collective buying power is when a group of people come together and use the rule, there’s power in numbers, to leverage the group size in exchange for discounts.

Up until recently, this really only happened with Business to Business transactions…

But the way people buy online is shifting because of collective buying power and already millions of people have become addicted to this way of buying and the number is growing exponentially every single day.

Some of the questions you should ask yourself are…

  • What side of the fence am I going to be on regarding this revolution?
  • How can I incorporate user generated traffic into my current business?
  • How can I leverage the collective buying power phenomenon?

The Daily Deal Model IS one of the largest and most profitable trends that is occurring online right now and I encourage you to watch, learn, and most importantly take action after watching the presentation below that will show you how you can create your own deal of the day website like Groupon, LivingSocial, Woot,  SteapandCheap, DailySteals,… Well, you get the point.
