Since releasing our first stop motion video, we have received a lot of feedback and requests for quotes to create a similar type of video for other products and services.
The fact of the matter is that watching these types of presentations are not nearly as boring as watching your typical presentation. They are a fun and different way to tell your story or sell your service.
We live in a connected world nowadays and by using video to market yourself, brand, or business; you can reach people more directly. After someone watches a video of you, they almost feel as if they know you.
This post discusses time lapse video presentations and what is entailed to either create one yourself OR hire the HC Consulting Group team to do it (or outsource elsewhere).
A time lapse video, or stop motion video, is where the frequency at which film frames are captured (the frame rate) is much lower than that which will be used to play the sequence back. When replayed at normal speed, time appears to be moving faster and thus lapsing. For example, an image of a scene may be captured once every second, and then played back at 30 frames per second; the result would be an apparent increase of speed by 30 times.
If done properly, time lapse videos can be incredibly engaging and keep your visitors glued on watching and learning about your information.
Just think about a time when you have watched a time lapse video… Ever seen National Geographic make a time lapse of the northern lights? Whoa! It really is incredible what time lapse can do.
Whether you are marketing a website, product, or any type of service; these types of videos can and do work wonders by increasing sales, time that people spend on your website, and brand recognition.
- Your presentation scripted out and made into a story board. What are you marketing, to whom, and what is your desired call to action. In marketing, if you are able to use some form of the hero’s journey; people will typically relate and connect with it.
- Audio recording of script. Using an expert for the voice over adds a level of professionalism to the video. vWorker is a place where you can potentially hire a great voice over person.
- Skilled Artist. Ideally, you want your artist to be comfortable working with big markers and a white board. I would recommend to visit the closest art and design school and put up a few fliers to hire an artist for a job or two.
- Supplies. White board, markers, and / or large paper.
- Video Camera. Obviously, the better the quality of the camera; the more professional the outcome.
- Video editing program – You not only need a video editing program, but a skilled video editor who can put all of the pieces together and speed up the frames to completely match the aduio. A couple examples of a video editing program are: Adobe Premier & Final Cut Pro.
- Video Compression program – (ex: Handbrake)
- Patience and the willingness to redo things until is just right.
When we create stop motion videos at the HC headquarters, we get everyone together (yes, even Hollis on a Google Hangout with a mustache), and get to work for you.
Creating time lapse videos is not only fun, but we have come to realize that we have superb quality and talented artists and video editors to create these types of presentations for you. We smash the prices of competing companies who create similar types of stop motion, hand-drawn, and time lapse videos to help companies market their website, products, and services.
Our rates are not set-in stone because as you know, each and every presentation that we create takes a different amount of time and resources from us.
Contact us for a free quote to create a time lapse video presentation to market your website, brand image, products, and / or services.
Just send an email to support@hcdesk.com or call 1-800-794-7192 and answer the below questions:
- About how long would you like your presentation to be?
- If you have a script or story board for it OR if we need to help formulate the script and story board.
We look forward to hearing from you and potentially working with you to turn your story into an engaging, stop-motion video.
Make moves,
