How and why you should add the Facebook Comment Feed to one of your websites | Facebook Connect

We recently did a small test and added Facebook Connect to one of our Video Sharing Empire webinar replays – as seen here.

We got some really cool feedback after doing this and wanted to share with you how and why you should add the Facebook Connect.

Facebook has over 500 million active users, and it is definitely appealing to add this feature to one (or many) of your sites.

Here is a video created by two of the Facebook Developers, Wei Zhu & Ray He, that shows you how to add the Facebook comment feed on any of your websites or pages.

It is pretty easy and straightforward to do this and can be a very powerful component to stir up some interactivity on your web pages.

Interactivity is a key element in selling… especially on the internet.  I predict that the Future of Ecommerce is using interactivity, urgency, scarcity, and deals to help sell your products and services in the most efficient and effective manner.

Many people are afraid that they are going to be the only “shmuck” buying from you, and having this interactivity in place lets others know that they are not alone.

Having the interactivity can also help you publicly address common questions.  If one of your prospects or clients has a question, there is a good chance others will also.  Answering these common questions publicly using Facebook Connect will help your support department save time and money and further increase your sales conversion rates.

I recommend to put the comment feed below some of your free content videos that people watch.  Most of your visitors are going to be far more likely to get involved and comment if the page is more focused on giving good information rather than just pitching a product.

You could also split test having the Facebook comment feed on your sales page vs. not on your sales page.
