You really can’t put your faith in the future “you.”
It is all about the decisions and actions that you take right now.
When we look towards the future, it is easy to say “I’ll do that next week,” the reality is, however, that when next week comes – the chances that you will actually do the right thing and not take the easy way out become much less.
It’s easy to decide that in a week from now, you will go to the gym. A week later, watching your favorite television show becomes much more appealing than actually going to the gym.
Procrastination is a disease and it effects all of us. It refers to the act of replacing high-priority actions with tasks of low-priority, and thus putting off important tasks to a later time.
Put your faith in the present “you” and make the right decisions, today.
Make moves today,

HOW TRUE OH HOW TRUE THIS BLOG POST IS. I MAKE IT A HABIT TO GIVE THANKS DAILY, EXERCISE DAILY (MINI WORKOUTS), EAT HEALTHY DAILY AND STAYING AWAY FROM BAD SNACKS, STAYING POSITIVE DAILY AND I HAVE SEEN A TREMENDOUS DIFFERENCE IN MY LIFE AND OTHERS HAVE TOO. I USED TO SAY I CAN DO IT TOMORROW OR I WILL START NEXT WEEK, WHICH KEPT ME OVERWEIGHT, NEGATIVE AND UNHAPPY. I FINALLY DECIDED TO TAKE ACTION AND MAKE A CHANGE, NOT JUST ONCE, BUT DAILY TO BETTER MYSELF, MY SURROUNDINGS AND MY FAMILY. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GUYS.
THANK YOU,

Good to hear Gabriel! I’ve been reading a book called “You’re not so smart” that has really been a great read and you might find particularly interesting.
Just what I needed to read today. Keep up all the good work that you guys are doing over there (and also keep building superb software services). I run a daily deal site using your DDB platform and it is doing great.

Hi Marc,
A reminder about procrastination is always useful. For various reasons (intentional or unintentional), we all put things off from time to time. Another disruptive issue that often has a similar “priority delaying” effect as does procrastination is the enormous amount of information overload affecting most us today.
In each case, these distractions take our focus away from our priorities which in turn reduces productivity. We each have to find the best methods of handling the monster.
Personally, I find myself frequently distracted with email. I try to stay away from it and look briefly about every 1-2 hours to make sure I don’t miss anything needing immediate attention and then slog through it after business hours. Otherwise, it becomes a huge time sink and distraction from other priorities.
Thanks for the reminder.
Hey Paula,
Yeah email is probably the biggest difficulty for me, also. I’ve been working on using your method a bit more lately but struggle a bit because most of our team is on google chat so it’s good for me to use that one.
Cheers,
Marc
