Facebook is an extremely powerful tool in a lot of ways, but it is not all about catching up with old friends. We have been using Facebook a lot lately for our business, and we wanted to share this great trick for gathering joint venture partners, and meeting the RIGHT people fast!
Here at HC Consulting Group, much of our success has come from obtaining joint venture partners in order to assist in driving traffic to our websites and product offers. There are many ways to go about doing this, but really, it’s all about being a good people person. Making a friend first, with someone who has natural, mutual, and beneficial ties with your business is a great place to start. Over time, work on developing this relationship into a joint venture, where you both help each other out.
Facebook is a great place to start, and here is what we recommend:
First you need to get signed up and started on Facebook…
How to Use Facebook : How to Register & Join Facebook
Learn how to register and join Facebook in this free educational video clip.
Start making friends with people that are ABLE to help you! This means, find those who have list of subscribers, common business interests, and common friends. Do some research using www.betterwhois.com and find the names of online business owners. Then, once you get some people to look up on Facebook’, find them and request that they become your friend.
After doing this a few times over, you will quickly become networked with the top people in your field. Start developing a Google Excel document list called “Joint Venture Partners” and then add all of these new business friends to that list. Facebook has this easily laid out for you, but ask us if you have any questions.
So here is where the magic happens: Once you are connected with all sorts of potential joint venture partners, more of these types of people are going to keep befriending you, and the business opportunities will roll in day after day. Every time that you log into Facebook, take a look at the Suggestions section, in the middle of the right hand margin, on your homepage.
Notice that Janine, for example, has 27 mutual friends with me. This is a great way to check her credibility, and see who else has granted her access to their personal profile. You can also “SEE ALL” and scroll through a wide list of potential friends and joint venture partners that are mutually related.
Once befriending, you are still going to need to reach out to them (via email, phone, Facebook messenger) and explain your joint venture proposition. Take it slow, don’t pressure anyone, and work on making trustworthy friends first. Over time, the power of these suggestions will align you with the best people to work with, and you will be able to gain all sorts of valuable insights into your niches, competitors, and of course, your new found joint venture opportunities.
Enjoy Facebook, keep it classy, and be safe!

Facebook is an extremely powerful tool to get connected with like minded individuals. Making deals using Facebook is something that we do at HC Consulting Group quite often. Of course the best way to make a JV deal happen is to actually meet the partner face to face and shake his/her hand. Finding mutual friends can do huge things for your business. I definitely recommend not to ask someone to be your friend and immediately start propositioning them. It is wise to build a relationship first, and then negotiate a good JV.
