Doritos Crash the Superbowl Contest (Vote here: https://apps.facebook.com/crashthesuperbowl) is awesome this year.
Even more exciting is that one of my old buddies whom I used to play music with is one of the top 5 finalist. Ben Callner directed the “Goat 4 Sale” video and it is absolutely hilarious. Aside from the obvious fact that Doritos use of social media and crowdsourcing is brilliant – it also has generated a ton of buzz and exposure for the brand.

Crowdsourcing is a compound of “crowd” and “outsourcing” for the act of taking tasks traditionally performed by an employee or contractor, and outsourcing them to a group of people or community, through an “open call” to a large group of people (a crowd) asking for contributions.
