When a customer or subscriber is happy with your business and the services that you provide them, they are more likely to recommend you to a friend.  In today’s socially-connected world, referrals have an even greater ability to drive new customers.  Nearly all of us are connected to Facebook, which now has over 1 billion active users.  A positive recommendation can go a very long way.  But so can negative feedback…

Businesses in nearly every industry put a lot of time, money, and effort into increasing customer satisfaction and here are 3 primary ways to make your subscribers and customers happier, more loyal, and most importantly more likely to tell their friends about you.

  1. Provide Exceptional Customer Service

Going above and beyond in your customer support division will dramatically change the way that folks perceive you.  Spending a little extra time ensuring that you take care of your customers support inquiries can make the world of difference for your business.  The customer is definitely not always right, but if you need to prove that they are wrong, they won’t remain a customer… your choice.

Excellent customer service also gives you an ability to directly increase revenue.  Say a customer writes in to your support desk asking about their recent travel voucher they ordered to Los Cabos…  Answer their question, but then go above and beyond and find out if they have hotel arrangements, rental car arrangements, if they have decided on any excursions to take while on the trip.  Many times, the customer will have just simply ordered the deal and you can upsell them by providing an in-depth response that includes other packages that they are surely interested in.

  1.  Provide World Class Deals from High Quality Businesses

Only work with the best businesses.  Sure, your sales people could close this business and get them to offer a deal on your deal site… but are they the kind of business you want yourbusiness represented by?

When primary focus is on delivering the highest quality service and deals, your customers will learn to love you, tell more of their friends about you, and become loyal followers.  Don’t just settle because you need to make this month’s numbers.  There are thousands of incredible businesses out there that are struggling for more customers, and daily deal sites have the ability to help those businesses.

  1. Implement a Seamless Referral Program

Make sharing your website incredibly easy.  Add incentives for people to share your website with their friends.  When someone publicly writes or says positive things about your business, they subconsciously become more loyal to your business and will defend you at any cost.  This will also help you grow your userbase and in turn, generate more revenue.

There are myriad of other ways to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty, but I believe putting focus on these 3 will do wonders for your business.
